Streamlined Menu, Optimized Floorplan and Kiosk Ordering Contribute to Juice Bar’s Success
Simplicity sells. That’s the conclusion of business and marketing experts, as well as consumers. According to a global survey reported by Harvard Business Review, almost 70% of managers in all types of businesses said excessive complexity raised their costs and hindered their profit growth. Consumers also prefer simplicity, which they equate with brand transparency and trustworthiness.
Movita Juice Bar co-founder and CEO Raul Rodriguez recognized these facts in creating the health-conscious, quick-service restaurant concept. Movita’s low-complexity model offers multiple benefits including greater efficiency, reduced costs, improved food quality, enhanced customer service, fewer staffing requirements and easier inventory management – all resulting in greater franchise profitability.
“Simplicity sells because it delivers speed, consistency and clarity – exactly what today’s customers want,” Rodriguez says. “At Movita Juice Bar, our focused menu of smoothies, juices and açaí bowls allows us to operate efficiently, maintain high quality and create a seamless guest experience – all while staying true to our fresh, health-driven mission.”
Low Complexity, Greater Franchise Profitability
In creating the Movita concept, Rodriguez, a restaurant consultant, teamed with friend and business associate Jorge Campos, whose background was in real estate and finance. Their vision was to offer organic, made-to-order açaí bowls and functional beverages including juices and smoothies. Everything would be fresh – never frozen or pasteurized. The name Movita derived from “mo,” for more, and “vita,” which is Latin for life.
